Most of these “new” problems were foreseen by the planners and advocates of the Malaria Eradication Program. In fact, the rush to get the campaign started, was because there was a need to get the upper hand on malaria before the mosquitoes became resistant to the insecticides to be used. Among the strategies in the eradication plan was the constant monitorization of insecticide resistance of the vectors in each area under attack and consolidation. |
