to compare the health status of your area to other regions. Premature mortality and life
expectancy are two of the most generally accepted indicators. The ACG morbidity index is a contact based measure of individual health status developed at Johns Hopkins University.5 After further validation, MCHP will consider its applicability to individual regions. Questions to consider: 1. Do all three indicators tell the same story? Does it make sense? 2. Are there differences in sub-regions of the area? 3. How do the results translate into health care delivery needs? |
