1. Workshops & courses - these can vary in length from a few days to a few weeks. MCHP hosts an annual Rural and Northern Health Care Meeting during which personnel from each RHA can discuss and interpret their own data, using the latest report as their guide. Future workshops, funded through a CAHR grant, will also be held on site in each of the RHAs.

Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research (AHFMR)’s SEARCH program seeks to equip RHA personnel to "identify and use appropriately timed information for managing the health system and to participate in health research activities relevant to local needs." Their training extends over a six-week period.

2. Site visits - on-site meetings between Centre researchers and RHA personnel provide researchers with a first-hand view of the specific RHA and helps them understand the context in which the various decision-makers work.

3. Web tools - MCHP’s Concept Dictionary provides technical support for programmers and researchers using data from the Centre. Future projects seek to follow this model to develop a tool even more relevant to the needs of RHA-based health researchers.
