Among melanomas with histological confirmation, the most frequent histological type is the superficial spreading one (38%), followed by the nodular one (25%). Distribution is similar for males and females (p=0.148). 62% of the cases correspond to Clark levels III, IV or V. There are statistically significant differences according to sex (p=0.01). Only 36% are thicker than 1.5 mm. Clinical documentation did not provide these data in 30% of cases. Average thickness is 2.77 mm. Value rank ranges from 0.2 to 15 mm. Average tumour thickness is different in both sexes: 3.3 mm in males and 2.4 mm in females (p=0.02). |
