Abstract:
Over the last few years there has been increasing interest in counteracting global warming - the debate is focused on reducing green house gases. The effects of global warming are already affecting large parts of the world, including many vulnerable groups that have had to adapt their agricultural and water management methods. This Briefing Paper is based on the experiences of local communities such as these and shows how people have adapted to climate change and what role the international community can play.
