About the cooperation between BA and Elsevier
In December 2018, Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Elsevier, signed a three years' Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide selected researchers from Africa with complimentary access to ScienceDirect (Elsevier’s online scientific research platform with 11 million full text articles) and Scopus (an abstract and citation database containing 21,000 peer-reviewed journals from 5,000 publishers). The new agreement will provide the complimentary service to researchers through the dedicated platform “Bibliotheca Alexandrina Information for Africa (BAIFA)”, according to eligibility criteria. This MoU comes within the framework of the continuous cooperation between the two organisations since 2013.
