Abstract:
In December 2008 Tear, in close cooperation with PSO, brought a number of her partner organisations to the Netherland to jointly learn on the management of organisational change processes. Tear and her partners from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, India, South Africa, Bolivia and Uganda used the time together to depict their organisational change processes using theoretical models and their own experience. The process resulted in this publication, which provides an interesting overview of the challenges, successes and lessons learned. The seven change stories are described in detail as case studies and provide useful tips on the management of change processes. The booklet includes a reflection on the joint learning process from which other organizations could benefit when managing change, how the positive aspects of change can be maximized and the negative effects minimized.
