Abstract:
This brochure discusses renewable energy as a driving force for development. If climate change has made anything clear it is this: the Netherlands and other rich industrialised countries have been living beyond their means. This has disastrous consequences for the lives of poor people in developing countries and that is unacceptable. Hivos has made its choice – as have the partner organisations presented in the brochure. Hivos opts for renewable energy.
