Abstract:
Out-of-pocket spending (OOPS) is the major payment strategy for healthcare in Nigeria. This study demonstrates the existence of socio-economic status (SES) inequities in use of OOPS to pay for healthcare services in urban, semi-urban and rural areas of southeast Nigeria.
