Abstract: Several projects use mobile phone technologies to help patients with tuberculosis keep up with treatment regimens. SMS is tested as a cost-effective alternative to DOTS (directly observed treatment) to communicate with and monitor drug adherence among hard-to-reach patients in remote locations.
