Abstract:
The Real-Time Biosurveillance Program (RTBP) pilot introduced ICT to health departments in India and Sri Lanka to overcome latencies in disease and epidemic surveillance. The effectiveness and cost benefits of using mobile phone technology to gather, analyze and distribute data was evaluated.
