Abstract: This article explores the possibility to use the Microscopic Observation Drug Susceptibility (MODS) assay to diagnose tuberculosis (TB) and multidrug-resistant TB also in isolated settings, using mobile phones to transmit images to trained personnel and to return the analysis results.
