Abstract:
Stunting is a major problem in Bangladesh, with a prevalence of 36%. The annual reduction rate of stunting in children aged under two is just 0.6%. After children reach two years of age, the consequences of stunting are almost irreversible. This paper seeks to examine and analyse the factors associated with stunting during the first 1000 days of life to provide recommendations for the development of evidence-based interventions in Bangladesh.
