Abstract:
Nigeria is the most populous country in sub-Saharan Africa with 30 million adolescents sexually active at early age and at risk of contracting STIs or becoming pregnant (making someone pregnant in the case of boys) against their will. Both STIs and teenage pregnancy have dire health and socio-economic consequences with devastating impacts on adolescents and their future aspirations in Nigeria. Effective interventions to support adolescents make informed choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health are necessary.
