With a universal knowledge on at least one contraceptive methods among young men contraceptive prevalence rate is low. Nonuse has resulted in unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortions which have further resulted into high maternal mortality. Factors that have influenced low uptake has been found as lack of or inadequate contraceptive knowledge, poor aptitude, unclear policies, myths and misconceptions
