Abstract:
Malaria is endemic in Liberia, mostly affecting pregnant women and children. With a prevalence rate of 19%, the disease is responsible for 42% of all clinical consultations and 44% of inpatient deaths. Malaria in pregnancy is the leading indirect cause of maternal death, accounting for 7.5% of the Country’s MMR.
