Malnutrition globally remains a significant public health challenge, causing illnesses and accounting for 45% of deaths of children under five in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs). Two million Nigerian children suffer severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Acute infectious diseases and malnutrition cause significant illness and death in under-fives.
