This essay explores how indigenous curation qualifies as intangible cultural heritage under the Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage adopted by UNESCO in 2003. It also examines the role of museums and UNESCO in promoting the recognition and use of indigenous curation.
