Abstract: A quality assessment scheme for anti-HIV serology aimed to objectively assess reliability and quality of HIV testing processes. The design allowed appraisal of reliability of anti-HIV serological testing methods utilised by laboratories for clinical assessment of patients or surveillance programs.
