Afghanistan had the second highest maternal mortality rate in the world after Sierra Leone. One in every 9 Afghan women die during or shortly after giving birth, this makes it a death every 21 minutes. This audiovisual reports from a hospital in Nangarhar Province, east of the capital Kabul.
