Abstract:
HIV is a serious public health issue, and HIV infection rates in prison populations are often higher than in the general population worldwide. Although the prevalence of HIV in Iranian prisons is below one percent, studies have shown that HIV can spread rapidly in prisons unless effective measures are taken to prevent its transmission.
