Indonesia still struggles to reduce its Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). In 2015, the MMR in Indonesia is 305 per 100,000 live births – the highest in the SEA region. v Furthermore, the burden of maternal mortality is not distributed equally between different groups of women and girls.
