Abstract:
Poor menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) is a significant public health problem in Zimbabwe that affects many girls and women. This is the consequence of socio-cultural, psychosocial and environmental factors that impact on their experiences and influencing their needs. The aim of this thesis is to explore factors affecting menstrual health and hygiene experiences and needs of girls and young women in Zimbabwe, and analyse interventions in order to make suitable recommendations to improve MHH.
