Abstract:
Sierra Leone remains one of the most affected countries by the high prevalence of maternal mortality as the country is still recording one of the highest maternal mortality rate (MMR) in the world. The leading cause of MMR in the country includes haemorrhages, hypertensive disorders, sepsis, and obstructed labour. All these causes are preventable by using skilled birth attendants.
