In a recent published study [1], 500 ADR reports were evaluated for causality using an expert panel global introspection (GI) and 15 selected decisional algorithms. The GI method was selected as the standard for comparisons in the absence of a well established gold standard.  Causality assessments produced by both modalities were systematically compared and analysed. This comparative analysis of decisional strategies under similar conditions aimed the external validation of decisional algorithm's usefulness on causality assessment of ADR.
