The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the French Institute in Egypt hold an Exhibition dedicated to the art of Arabic printed letters, under the umbrella of the France – Egypt Cultural Year. The Exhibition is distinguised by its exceptional quality. It reflects several centuries of calligraphy, featuring posters from the Arab world, from Algiers to Beirut in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the history of the Arabic printed letters from the 16th to the 21st century, and a selection of special calligraphy creations by contemporary artists.
