The Center published a new book titled "Memory of Printing and Publishing in the Middle East". It presents to the interested researchers in the history of printing and print culture, who are concerned with the interactions between intellectual and socio-economic aspects of Middle Eastern history, papers not limited to printing in Arabic; but cover a range of Middle Eastern languages and scripts.

 The Center organizes a lecture entitled "Aesthetics of Arabic Writing and Language of Islamic Papyri Texts”, and given by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif, former assistant minister of Antiquities, and Professor of Islamic and Coptic antiquities At Mansoura University. The lecture is held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 12 noon, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, main entrance, Auditorium Hall.

  In collaboration with GLYPHS, the Center is organizing a workshop and a scientific symposium titled "Arabic Typography Workshop". A number of specialized professors will give lectures in Arabic and English languages. The workshop will be held from Monday to Thursday, 26 – 29 November 2018, from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., at the conference Centre’s VIP meeting room in Bibliotheca Alexandrina. 

 The Children’s Library and the Young People’s Library, in cooperation with the Antiquities Museum, the Planetarium Science Center, the Writing and Scripts Center, the Arts Center and the Visits Department organize a ceremony on the Children’s Day titled “My Right to Live Right” from Sunday 25 November until Tuesday 27 November.

 In collaboration with Alexandria Directorate of Education, the center, organizes the 10th Arabic Calligraphy Annual Competition for the students of Alexandria schools from 13-15 November 2018.
