In collaboration with Special Projects Department, the Center organized 2 lectures by Prof. Dr. Ali Al Gaboury on Tuesday 12 February, and Wednesday 13 February, 2019 at Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center, Room C from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00. pm.

 In collaboration with The Nubia Museum, Aswan,the Center has organized a workshop titled “Reading and Analyzing Meroitic texts” from February 3-6, 2019.

  In collaboration with The Nubia Museum, Aswan, the Center is organizing a four-day workshop entitled "Introduction to Meroitic script and texts” from February 3-6, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Nubia Museum, Aswan. The lectures are given by. Dr. Claude Rilly, research fellow at the CNRS and director of the SFDAS. with Dr. Ahmed Mansour, the director of the Center, who will be presenting and commingling on the “Journey of writing in Egypt” documentary, produced by the Library of Alexandria.

 The center issued a new publication titled “Diwan of Arabic Calligraphy on the Mamluki Monuments in Syria”. The book is originally a Ph- Dessirtation of Dr. Farag El Husseini. This publication comes from BA- belief in its pioneering role in preserving heritage and human culture, especially that dozens of mosques and Islamic monuments in Syria were destroyed in whole or in part as a result of present conflict. 

 In cooperation with the Children Library, the Center is organizing two workshops for children and young people from 27th  January until 7th February.
