Abstract:
Poor quality of healthcare services is a major challenge for the health system in Sudan. Inconsistencies in knowledge and perceptions regarding quality of care exist among both health professionals and the public. Sudan faces many health problems including a double burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Furthermore, indicators for maternal mortality, neonatal mortality and child mortality are very high despite ongoing efforts by the health system to increase coverage by healthcare services. Quality is important to achieve universal health coverage.
