Abstract:
Nigeria has a high maternal mortality rate, currently accounting for approximately 23% of maternal deaths worldwide. There are regional differences in maternal mortality levels in the country. Many intersecting factors contribute to the disparities in use of reproductive and maternal health services by women and girls in Nigeria. These intersecting factors affect women and girls in different ways, and can influence their decision making power on use of reproductive and maternal health services. This study seeks to explore how these factors combine to create inequalities in use of reproductive and maternity health services by women and girls in Nigeria..
