Abstract:
Ethiopia remains a global hotspot for child marriage and is among the most climate-vulnerable countries worldwide. While social and economic drivers of early marriage are well known, the intersection with climate stress remains poorly understood. Emerging evidence shows rising trends in drought and flood-affected regions of Ethiopia. This study examines how climate change is reshaping child marriage and identifies strategies to reduce climate-induced cases.
