Abstract:
This information sheet discusses the “Civic driven change: implications for policymakers and practitioners” process which was carried out within the framework of the Development Policy Review Network (DPRN). Civic Driven Change (CDC) is about people achieving social change themselves. In relation to international cooperation it reaches beyond the classical poverty reduction agenda and beyond the scope of the development sector. In 2010, a consortium of Dutch and Belgian organisations explored the concept of CDC with a particular focus on the implications for development cooperation practice and policy.
