In response to the BA/CSSP 2015 Research Grants announcement made by the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), 151 proposals were submitted in Agricultural Sciences, Biology & Biotechnology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Engineering Sciences & Technology, Earth Sciences, Information Technology & Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Medical Sciences Physics & Biophysics, and Pre-University Education.
A blind online review process has been used to evaluate each proposal. The Reviewing Committee currently comprises (137) international eminent scientist and Nobel Laureates representing all areas of research.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations; (29) candidates were selected to attend the BA/CSSP Research Grants 2015 Top Listed Interviews to be interrogated by high caliber scientific committee.
- Wednesday, 25 May 2016 interviewing the top listed candidates in the field of Engineering Sciences (10 candidates)
The Committee members were Prof. Asser Zaki, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Alexandria; Prof. Yousry El-Gamal, Member of CSSP Board of Directors, and Former Minister of Education, and Prof. Mohamed El-Faham.
- On Sunday, 5 June 2016, the top listed candidates in Chemistry and Biochemistry/Biology and Biotechnology/Agricultural Sciences/Earth Sciences (11) were interviewed.
