Victor Ramos

Biography:

Full Professor of Tectonics, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Member of the Third World Academy of Sciences, Academia Chilena de Ciencias and Academia Nacional de Ciencias de Argentina. More than 40 years of study in the geology of the Andes and the tectonic processes that produced the present uplift. More than 100 papers devoted to Andean Geology. His Interest in Darwin started many years ago while working in the High Andes of Mendoza, following his steps across the Cordillera. His acquaintance with Darwins observations was extended to different sectors of the Andes of Chile and Argentina including the Chilo Island and Tierra del Fuego. This was reflected in several documental films on the Geology of Patagonia and the recent National Geographic film on The lost Voyage.
