Alexander Mosseler
Biography:
Born in Germany in 1953.
Emigrated to Canada in 1956.
Became a Canadian citizen in 1960.
Received B.Sc. (Forest Management -1977), M.Sc.(Forest Pathology-1980), Ph.D. (Forest Genetics-1987) University of Toronto.
Worked as: professional Forester with Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (1980-1983), Project Leader with International Energy Agency (Bio-energy Program, 1983-1988), Research Scientist with Canadian Forest Service (1988 to present), Coordinator of IUFRO Division 8 (Forest Environment, 2005 to present), and as Adjunct Professor with several Canadian Universities (1988 to present).
Fields of interest include: forest management, population genetics, conservation biology, restoration ecology, and species testing for bio-energy.
