Biography:
Mohamed M. El-Fouly is professor at the National Research Centre in Cairo. He received his BSc in Agriculture from Alexandria University in 1959, and obtained his PhD in Agriculture from the Technical University of Munich in Germany in 1963. He is the former Head of Agricultural and Biological Research Division and member of the Board of Directors of the National Research Centre, as well as the boards of numerous other national and international organizations and societies. El-Fouly is also fellow of the African Academy of Sciences and fellow of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has over 200 publications including review articles and several books on project planning, project mentoring and evaluation, and proposal writing. His areas of interest cover a wide range of fields including R&D management, project management, along with marketing R&D activities. In 2006, El-Fouly received the Egyptian State Award of Merit for Outstanding Scientific Achievement, and in 2009, the National Research Centre awarded him its Prize for his outstanding research outputs.
