Biography:

Prof. Adel El-Beltagy is Chairman of the Agricultural Research and Development Council (Egypt); Chairman of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR); Chairman of the International Dry land Development Commission (IDDC); and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Sahel & Sahara Observatory.

He is Professor at Ain Shams University, Arid Land Centre.

Prof. Adel El-Beltagy is Former Director General of the International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA), Former Director/Board Chairman of Agricultural Research Center, Egypt. He is also Former First Under-Secretary of State for Land Reclamation, Egypt. He is Fellow of the University of Wales.

Prof. Adel El-Beltagy is Honorable Academician of Kyrgyz Agrarian Academy, Honorable Professor of the Scientific Council of Azerbaijan Agricultural Academy and Fellow of Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He is Board Member of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Board Member of the Global Diversity Fund.

Abstract:
