Abstract:

Cancer in Children; Challenges and Hope

Childhood is the dream of health, wealth, strength and bright future. Cancer is a powerful enemy to these hopes. The war commenced several decades ago. Sometimes the children win the battle sometimes they lose it. As the years go, scientists get better understanding of the disease and its challenges. The more challenges they explore, the more hope they elicit.

The community is important in all aspects. They can enhance the challenges and promote risk or can support the hope for victory.

Details are the clues for understanding the weakness and strength of our current position in dealing with childhood cancer.

This lecture revises the progress of the disease locally, regionally and globally as well as the progress in research and the future prospective.
