Biography:
Randa Aboul Hosn, from Lebanon, has been a Resident Representative
for UNDP Egypt since 1 December 2018. Prior to this appointment,
Aboul Hosn was Country Director at UNDP in Egypt since January 2017. She
also served as Deputy Resident Representative, UNDP Algeria (March 2013 -
December 2016); Country Director, UNDP Yemen, (August 2010 ? February
2013); Special Advisor to Directorate, UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab
States, New York (2007-2010); Regional Program Advisor, Regional Program
Division, Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS), New York, (November
2005 - January 2007); Assistant Resident Representative (program with a
focus on governance and poverty), UNDP Yemen (April 2004 - November
2005); Policy Specialist and Program Manager, UNDP Lebanon (1995?2004);
and Editor-in-Chief, Al-Raida Magazine, Institute for Women?s Studies in the
Arab World, Lebanese American University (1990?1995).
Aboul Hosn holds a Master of Arts in Sociology ? Social and Behavioral
Science from the American University in Beirut. She also holds a Professional
Certificate in Gender Equality Strategic Planning (2016); Post-Graduate
Diploma in Public Policy and Management (2003) from the School of Oriental
and African Studies (SOAS), Center for Financial and Management Studies,
University of London; and a Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration
(1983) from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
