Biography:
Sameh Kamel is the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth
Regional Focal Point on Habitat III for the Middle East and North African Region.
He is also the organising partner of the Arab Youth Platform for Sustainable
Development, which is an intergovernmental engagement mechanism
for youth engagement at the League of Arab States. He coordinates youth
engagement in many UN conferences and events, such as Habitat III, World
Urban Forum, UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), World
Health Summit (WHS), ECOSOC Youth Forum, International Conference on
Population and Development (ICPD), and the High-level Political Forum
(HLPF).
He hosted a number of training sessions on SDGs and youth engagement
in multiple countries, such as Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia,
Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, Canada, Italy, Ecuador, Mexico, United States of
America, and France to raise awareness among young community leaders
on the importance of the implementation on all levels. Education-wise,
Mr. Kamel is a Senior Student at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, October
