Biography:
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Prof. Sharaf
participated in hundreds of national and international conferences and
workshops as a presenter, sessions chairperson, or keynote speaker. His
scientific wealth includes more than 160 papers published locally and
internationally. He was nominated and awarded a number of local and
international recognitions. Prof. Sharaf supervised about 50 Masters and
Doctoral dissertations in several areas, including asset management and
transportation. He was selected in a number of leading governmental roles,
such as Minister of Transport in 2004, and Prime Minister in 2011.
Currently, Prof. Sharaf is focusing on escalating international cooperation
initiatives. For instance; his attentive involvement and dedication for the
�Belt and Road� initiative through his role as an active board member of
the strategic committee for the Silk Road Think Tank Network, and his work
for South-to-South cooperation as a board member of the Egyptian Council
for African Affairs. Prof. Sharaf was also selected among 10 international
members of the advisory council of the Belt and Road Forum.
