Biography:

Amgad Shokr, Senior Safety Officer, Division of Nuclear Installation Safety, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Austria; and Associate Professor, Nuclear Engineering, Atomic Energy Authority, Egypt. During the periods 1997 to 2001 and 2003 to 2005, he was the Manager of the Egypt Second Research Reactor (ETRR-2); and was a Reactor Project Engineer, INVAP, Argentina, 1994 to 1996.

He authored 21 scientific publications in international, regional and national refereed journals, and contributed to the development of 15 IAEA publications on different topical areas of nuclear reactors safety and technology. He received the IAEA Merit Award in 2009. Shokr obtained his BSc, MSc and PhD from Nuclear Engineering Department, Alexandria University, Egypt.
