Ali Hasan Nayfeh is a University Distinguished Professor, Emeritus, Virginia Tech. He received his BS in 1962, MSc in 1963, and PhD in 1964 from Stanford University. He published 8 books with Wiley, 2 books on the Internet, and 447 articles in referred journals, and made 666 presentations at international meetings. He holds three Honorary Doctorates from the Marine Technical University, Russia; Technical University of Munich, Germany; and Politech-nika Szczecinska, Poland. He holds six patents. He is a fellow of the AIAA, ASME, APS, AAM. He is the recipient of many awards from the AIAA, ASME, ATLAS, Kuwait; Virginia Life Achievement in Science Award.
