Abstract:
Multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was functionalized by different method and added to poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix by different ratios (2-10%). The prepared nanocomposites were prepared using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Furthermore, GLC results showed that the PVA/FMWCNTs nanocomposites were used to remove organophosphours pesticide (OCPs) residues from waste water as well as heavy metals. Furthermore, the antibacterial properties of the prepared nanocomposites films against Pseudomonas, Staph. Aurous, Candida, and Staphylococcus were investigated. These PVA/FMWCNTs nanocomposites materials can be used for packaging application and the mainly application of these materials in water filter which may be a promising and economically reasonable technology for waste water purification.
