The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in collaboration with Al Salama Hospital and the I.Learn Professional Training Center, organized a session on First Aid Skills.
The session aim was to increase health awareness in the community and focus on the importance of educating the public about the basic procedures of first aid.
Basic Emergency Life Support can prevent conditions from worsening, promote recovery and even preserve life.
During the session, a broad range of medical situations was discussed. Specific knowledge and skills about how to deal with people with when chest pain, animal bites, cut wounds, traumas, allergies and intoxication (oral, inhaled, or via skin). In addition to practical demonstration on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the session involved dealing with cardiac arrests and how to manage a person suffering from trauma.
The session was held in the Auditorium at the BA, main lobby of the Library building, on 6 May 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Attendance registration was required.
