Green Economy: Concept and Practices
The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Academic Research Sector, and the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries Arab Regional Partner (TWAS-AREP) are hosting a webinar entitled Green Economy: Concept and Practices on Monday, 15th November 2021 at 1:00 pm (Cairo time)
The webinar aims at discussing green economy in relation to sustainable development by exploring: the concept of green economy; why green economy matters; Green Economy public benefits, especially for the developing countries; who the key players in making green economy are; green economy and environmental sustainability; the role of the academia in supporting Green Economy, with special emphasis on what role young scientists can play in this regards and finally, sharing best practices in applying green economy concept.
The webinar will be presented by Prof. Mohamed Abdrabo, Professor of Environmental Economics and head of the Alexandria Research Center for Adaptation to Climate Change (ARCA), Alexandria University; and Dr. Hussein Abaza, Green Economy Expert, Senior Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Environment, Director of the Association for Environmental and Community Development (ACED), the Center for Sustainable Development Solutions (CSDS).
