IAP General Conference "The Unity of Science" and General Assembly
The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) hosted the IAP General Conference "Unity of Science" and IAP General Assembly at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The conference principally aimed at developing interdisciplinary interest among its member scientific academies as a means of advancing knowledge and technological progress.

Distinguished speakers gave their broad-ranging speeches on different in topics including mathematical, physics and earth sciences.

Over the period of 5 days, in addition to lectures and presentations, an election session took place where the new IAP co-chairs were being selected by acclamation. The conference concluded on the 6th of December with a visit to the Institut d'Egypte in Cairo.

Around 135 participants representing different countries including Brazil, Albania, Indonesia, Cuba, Italy, China, India, and Australia have participated in the conference.

The Inter Academy Panel on international issues (IAP) is a global network of the world's science academies, launched in 1993. Its primary goal is to help member academies work together to advise citizens and public officials on the scientific aspects of critical global issues.
