The CSSP featured the lecture "Small is Different: The Properties of Material as its Size is Reduced to the Nanometer Scale" held 4 September 2007 and was given by Professor Mostafa El-Sayed, Julius Brown Chair; Regent Professor; and Director of the Laser Dynamic Laboratory, Georgia Institute of Technology.

The lecture was held on 4 September 2007 from at the Multipurpose Hall, Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center (BACC).

The lecture included more than 60 attendees who have expressed their pleasure in attending such enjoyable, constructive and professional session.
