Nature Biotechnology paper- Globetrotting firms
The McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health is pleased to announce the publication of the article, Globetrotting firms: Canadas health biotechnology collaborations with developing countries in the current (September 2009) issue of the journal Nature Biotechnology.

The article is based on a survey on Canadas health biotech partnerships with developing countries supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

It explores some of the unknowns surrounding north-south collaboration in health biotech by examining the levels of Canadian firms linkages with developing countries and emerging economies, the geographical spread of these ties, what the collaborations entail, the reasons for pursuing the collaborations and the outcomes of the partnerships. It is expected that the findings from this research can be of use not only to firms and research groups interested in reaching out globally, but also to policymakers promoting innovation and international affairs.
