The 21^st General Meeting of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) was held in Hyderabad, India, from 19 - 22 October 2010.

TWAS's General Meetings and Conferences provide an ideal forum to articulate its purpose and goals by showcasing the progress made in building scientific capacity in the South, as well as discussing strategies for meeting the challenges that lie ahead.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Regional Office is hosted by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed El-Faham, Director, Center for Special Studies and Programs.
